WOYWW

So last year Kirstie made Christmas Crackers and by jove it looked nice and easy! So I struggled to find things to go in a loo roll, girls were OK but boys were a pain as usual. So this is what my WOYWW looked this morning, even brought snaps!
So where did it all go wrong, to start with I had an issue with the ribbon about 50yards fell of its reel, it did this to me on Sunday at the crop so I had already wound it back up once already. The paper didn't want to co-operate and wouldn't tie up. Eventually found a tutorial that said use good quality paper but obviously Marks and Spencers paper is far too good.  I finally managed to tie up one and the present inside fell out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally managed to make the eight I needed and by this time I was extremely stressed and as for decorating which should of been fun but all I wanted to do was finish them asap.
Will I do them again NO back to buying them from the Supermarket!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sitting here having a good giggle reading this! I have thought about making crackers, because they are hard to come by here in the US. But maybe I won't! Yours turned out beautifully, so all that work paid off in the end. -Meechelle #104

Oh you have made me giggle ... I once made my own crackers and vowed never again! Occasionally I get it into my head that things would go more smoothly this time but I soon talk myself out of it! Your crackers look just fabulous and I am sure will be much appreciated so well done Debby! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas. Love Debbie #61

Hi Debby, am shooting around blogland trying to catch up with everyone (am sooo behind with commenting, it's unbelievable!).

Love all your cards - who wouldn't they are gorgeous, the white embossed music one particularly drew my eye, it's very elegant - but this post made me stop and read!

Sounds like you had a terrible time with the crackers! It's why I don't really make much other than cards and the occasional scrapbook page - I don't do well with handmade!!!!

They look fab tho - hope they work on the day and I'm sure they will be appreciated.

Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas.
